I’m Kenny, the founder of The Lazy Hound and a lifelong animal lover. I’ve always been surrounded by dogs, and moving to LA gave me the chance to make a real difference in building stronger bonds between pets and their owners. I’ve worked in various roles within the pet industry, and nothing brings me more joy than taking the stress away from both pets and their humans, helping them communicate effectively with each other, showing how much positive reinforcement can impact your dogs confident. On days when I’m not around dogs, I feel like something’s missing. Let me share how this passion led to the creation of The Lazy Hound!
My Story
Hi, I’m Kenny! I have been working with dogs for 24+ years, my passion for working with animals is stronger than ever. Growing up, I was inspired by Steve Irwin and animal shows, and my childhood nickname was Mowgli, a nod to my love for animals and nature.
Working with dogs has always been more than just a job for me; it’s a way to observe and learn from their natural simplicity, compassion, forgiveness, and loyalty. Over my 14 years tenure at D Pet Hotels Hollywood, I immersed myself in dog psychology and training, which has deepened my ability to connect with dogs on a profound level. I find immense joy in seeing shy or nervous dogs gradually build confidence and reveal their true personalities.
When I’m not with dogs, I’m at the gym, savoring good food, or playing basketball. If I could be any dog breed, I’d choose a Bloodhound or Great Dane, as they reflect my own size and temperament.
Fun fact: I once appeared on a YouTube series with Cesar Millan alongside one of my dogs!I’m excited to bring my experience and enthusiasm to your dog’s walks and make every outing a rewarding experience.
